About Sax.

We are pleased to present this lovely country house in Sax.

Very cleverly, the owners have used their abilities to ensure that it is a house that can appeal to everyone; it´s neutral in a way but full of character and every modern convenience, from remotely controlled canopies to Air Conditioning in every room.

The access is outstanding, and the property can be reached from the town of Sax in different ways, but all are by tarmac roads, and they lead to remotely controlled gates and then a long driveway past the olive grove to a parking area where there is an option for cover if required.

The property is entered via the long conservatory, which is the room you will spend the most time in when not outside, as it has spectacular views over to the mountains and to the amazing pool and poolside lounge and bar areas.

Yes, this is a house for entertaining as well as being tranquil, private and far from remote.

There are neighbours but everything is secluded; couldn´t be more perfect in my opinion.

So, the conservatory can be entered from the front or from the side, leading to an L-Shaped terrace where you can have sun or shade and then you can access the pool area using the few steps down and this area can be closed off if you have very young children and/or pets.

More about that area later.

From the conservatory you enter an immaculate lounge/diner/kitchen with a feature log-burning fire with an open brick surround.

The kitchen is spacious and has high-quality units.

There is a passageway to the bedrooms and one of the bathrooms.

This is something I love because I always believe, when possible, to separate the sleeping areas from the living areas.

One of the bedrooms is a small single that possibly would be best used as a home office, as there is excellent Internet in the area.

The second bedroom is a Double and the Principal Bedroom has a beautiful en-suite bathroom.

All the bedrooms are light and airy.

A second new, modern bathroom and a Utility Room are off the far end of the lounge/diner.

All the bedrooms have A/C, as has the lounge/diner and all the units are inverters so can be used as a relatively economical way of heating in winter.

Have I saved the best until last?

I´m not sure as both interior space and exterior space are fabulous but I guess the new swimming pool are with a stunning lounge and bar is breathtaking.

Just to top things off, there is a decorative toilet for guest use and a pump room and loads of terracing, but I imagine the lounge must be one of the most relaxing areas I have seen at a country property.

It´s superb and have a look at the photos taken in the evening with all the lighting.

The picturesque town of Sax tumbles down a hillside in the Vinalopó Valley, in south-eastern Spain and is one of a series of towns and villages in this region of the Costa Blanca which are dominated by castles.

Sax has a population of around 9,000 and is located between the towns of Villena and Elda.

The history of Sax goes back to the times of the Moorish occupation beginning during the Eighth Century and little is known of the town prior to that time.

The people of Sax are warm and friendly and the town has a good selection of shops, tapas bars and restaurants, a market is held twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

As always Sax has its share of fiestas and festivals, the main one being the Moors and Christians festival held during the first 2 weeks of February.

The Castillo de Sax (Castle of Sax) which is lit up at night, was originally built on a limestone ridge during the Tenth Century and the Levante tower from the Twelfth Century still survives today, the keep and courtyards were built at a later date.

Despite its strong defensive position, both Sax and its castle were taken by troops under Jaime I of Aragon in 1239 and later in 1476 Sax became part of the Marquisate de Villena, within the province of Murcia.

During the War of Spanish Succession (1701 – 1714) Sax sided with Felipe V who conferred the title “Muy Noble y Muy Leal” on the town for its staunch support.

In 1836 Sax finally became part of the province of Alicante.

The towering rock which looms over Sax is a popular place for rock climbing, the most notable ascent being the Peñas del Rey.

Die Eigentümer haben mit viel Geschick dafür gesorgt, dass es ein Haus für jeden Geschmack ist: Es wirkt neutral, aber voller Charakter und bietet jeden modernen Komfort, von ferngesteuerten Markisen bis hin zur Klimaanlage in jedem Zimmer.

Die Anbindung ist hervorragend.

Das Anwesen ist von Sax aus auf verschiedenen Wegen erreichbar, alle über asphaltierte Straßen.

Diese führen zu ferngesteuerten Toren und einer langen Auffahrt, vorbei am Olivenhain, zu einem Parkplatz mit optionalem Unterstand.

Der Zugang zum Haus erfolgt über den langen Wintergarten, in dem Sie sich, wenn Sie nicht draußen sind, am liebsten aufhalten werden.

Von hier aus genießen Sie einen spektakulären Blick auf die Berge, den traumhaften Pool sowie die angrenzende Lounge und Bar.

Dieses Haus eignet sich perfekt für gesellige Stunden und bietet gleichzeitig Ruhe, Privatsphäre und ist dennoch nicht abgelegen.

Es gibt Nachbarn, aber alles ist ungestört – meiner Meinung nach einfach perfekt.

Der Wintergarten ist sowohl von vorne als auch von der Seite zugänglich und führt zu einer L-förmigen Terrasse, die sowohl sonnig als auch schattig ist.

Über ein paar Stufen gelangt man zum Poolbereich, der bei Bedarf für Kleinkinder und/oder Haustiere abgetrennt werden kann.

Vom Wintergarten aus betritt man ein makelloses Wohn-/Ess-/Küchenzimmer mit einem Kaminofen und offener Ziegelumrandung.

Die Küche ist geräumig und mit hochwertigen Einbaumöbeln ausgestattet.

Ein Durchgang führt zu den Schlafzimmern und einem der Badezimmer.

Das gefällt mir besonders gut, da ich Schlaf- und Wohnbereiche nach Möglichkeit immer trennen möchte.

Eines der Schlafzimmer ist ein kleines Einzelzimmer, das sich aufgrund der ausgezeichneten Internetverbindung in der Gegend ideal als Homeoffice eignet.

Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist ein Doppelzimmer, und das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein schönes Badezimmer en suite.

Alle Schlafzimmer sind hell und freundlich.

Ein zweites, neues, modernes Badezimmer und ein Hauswirtschaftsraum befinden sich am anderen Ende des Wohn-/Essbereichs.

Alle Schlafzimmer und das Wohn-/Esszimmer sind klimatisiert, und alle Geräte sind Inverter-Geräte, sodass sie im Winter relativ sparsam zum Heizen genutzt werden können.

Habe ich mir das Beste bis zum Schluss aufgehoben?

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, denn sowohl der Innen- als auch der Außenbereich sind fabelhaft, aber der neue Swimmingpool mit der atemberaubenden Lounge und Bar ist einfach überwältigend.

Und als Krönung gibt es noch eine dekorative Gästetoilette, einen Pumpenraum und jede Menge Terrassen.

Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass die Lounge einer der entspannendsten Bereiche ist, die ich je auf einem Landgut gesehen habe.

Sie ist einfach großartig, und sehen Sie sich unbedingt die Fotos an, die abends mit der stimmungsvollen Beleuchtung aufgenommen wurden.

Con gran ingenio, los propietarios han utilizado su talento para crear una casa que se adapte a todos los gustos; es neutra en cierto modo, pero rebosante de carácter y con todas las comodidades modernas, desde toldos con control remoto hasta aire acondicionado en todas las habitaciones.

El acceso es excepcional, y se puede llegar a la propiedad desde el pueblo de Sax por diferentes caminos, todos asfaltados, que conducen a puertas automáticas y, desde allí, a un largo camino de entrada que bordea el olivar hasta una zona de aparcamiento con opción a una cubierta si se desea.

Se accede a la propiedad a través del amplio invernadero, la estancia donde pasará la mayor parte del tiempo cuando no esté al aire libre, ya que ofrece vistas espectaculares a las montañas, a la magnífica piscina y a la zona de estar y bar junto a la piscina.

Sin duda, esta es una casa ideal para recibir invitados, además de ser tranquila, privada y estar lejos de todo.

Hay vecinos, pero todo está aislado; en mi opinión, no podría ser más perfecta.

Se puede acceder al invernadero desde la fachada principal o desde un lateral, dando paso a una terraza en forma de L donde se puede disfrutar del sol o la sombra.

Desde allí, se accede a la piscina bajando unos pocos escalones.

Esta zona se puede cerrar si hay niños pequeños o mascotas.

Hablaremos más sobre esta área más adelante.

Desde el invernadero se accede a un impecable salón-comedor-cocina con una chimenea de leña con revestimiento de ladrillo visto.

La cocina es espaciosa y cuenta con muebles de alta calidad.

Hay un pasillo que conecta con los dormitorios y uno de los baños.

Esto me encanta, ya que siempre creo que, cuando es posible, conviene separar las zonas de descanso de las zonas de estar.

Uno de los dormitorios es individual y pequeño, ideal para usar como despacho, ya que la conexión a internet es excelente en la zona.

El segundo dormitorio es doble y el dormitorio principal cuenta con un precioso baño en suite.

Todos los dormitorios son luminosos y ventilados.

Un segundo baño nuevo y moderno, junto con un lavadero, se encuentran al fondo del salón-comedor.

Todas las habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado, al igual que el salón-comedor, y todos los aparatos son inverter, por lo que se pueden usar como una forma relativamente económica de calefacción en invierno.

¿He dejado lo mejor para el final?

No estoy seguro, ya que tanto el interior como el exterior son fabulosos, pero supongo que la nueva piscina con su impresionante salón y bar es sencillamente espectacular.

Para rematar, hay un aseo de diseño para los huéspedes, una sala de bombas y numerosas terrazas, pero me imagino que el salón debe ser uno de los espacios más relajantes que he visto en una propiedad rural.

Es magnífico; fíjense en las fotos tomadas al atardecer con toda la iluminación.

Met genoegen presenteren wij dit prachtige landhuis in Sax.

De eigenaren hebben op zeer slimme wijze hun talenten ingezet om ervoor te zorgen dat het een huis is dat iedereen aanspreekt; het is neutraal van stijl, maar tegelijkertijd vol karakter en voorzien van alle moderne gemakken, van elektrisch bedienbare zonneschermen tot airconditioning in elke kamer.

De toegang is uitstekend en het pand is vanuit Sax op verschillende manieren te bereiken, maar alle routes zijn geasfalteerd.

Deze leiden naar elektrisch bedienbare poorten en vervolgens een lange oprit langs de olijfgaard naar een parkeerplaats met de mogelijkheid tot overkapping indien gewenst.

De woning is toegankelijk via de lange serre, de ruimte waar u de meeste tijd zult doorbrengen als u niet buiten bent, vanwege het spectaculaire uitzicht op de bergen en het fantastische zwembad met lounge en bar.

Dit is een huis om gasten te ontvangen, maar tegelijkertijd ook rustig, privé en zeker niet afgelegen.

Er zijn buren, maar alles is afgeschermd; perfecter kan het niet, naar mijn mening.

De serre is zowel aan de voor- als zijkant toegankelijk en leidt naar een L-vormig terras waar u van de zon of de schaduw kunt genieten.

Via een paar treden naar beneden bereikt u het zwembad.

Dit gedeelte kan worden afgesloten als u jonge kinderen en/of huisdieren heeft.

Daarover later meer.

Vanuit de serre komt u in een smetteloze woon-/eetkamer/keuken met een sfeervolle houtkachel met een open bakstenen omlijsting.

De keuken is ruim en voorzien van hoogwaardige keukenkasten.

Er is een doorgang naar de slaapkamers en een van de badkamers.

Dit vind ik erg prettig, omdat ik er altijd van overtuigd ben dat het belangrijk is om de slaapruimtes zoveel mogelijk van de woonruimtes te scheiden.

Een van de slaapkamers is een kleine eenpersoonskamer die wellicht het best als thuiskantoor kan worden gebruikt, aangezien er in de buurt uitstekend internet is.

De tweede slaapkamer is een tweepersoonskamer en de hoofdslaapkamer heeft een prachtige en-suite badkamer.

Alle slaapkamers zijn licht en luchtig.

Een tweede, nieuwe en moderne badkamer en een bijkeuken bevinden zich aan het uiteinde van de woon-/eetkamer.

Alle slaapkamers hebben airconditioning, net als de woon-/eetkamer, en alle units zijn inverter-systemen, waardoor ze in de winter een relatief zuinige manier van verwarmen vormen.

Heb ik het beste voor het laatst bewaard?

Ik weet het niet zeker, want zowel de binnen- als buitenruimte zijn fantastisch, maar ik denk dat het nieuwe zwembad met de prachtige lounge en bar adembenemend is.

En om het helemaal af te maken, is er een decoratief toilet voor gasten, een pompkamer en een overvloed aan terrassen, maar ik denk dat de lounge een van de meest ontspannende plekken is die ik ooit op een landgoed heb gezien.

Het is geweldig, en bekijk de foto's die 's avonds met al die verlichting zijn genomen.
